POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing the design, development and implementation of enterprise applications used by SLS associates, customers and investors. Contributes to the achievement of corporate objectives by assisting management with technical leadership, team building, mentoring and career development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise all activities as they relate to the software development life-cycle for all development and enhancement projects.
Train and mentor development staff on effective techniques in design, analysis, development, implementation, project management and maintenance. Provide leadership to staff that fosters teamwork and provides motivation to achieve goals and fosters career development in order to maximize their contribution to the team.
Provide oversite to technical design, development, testing and implementation of applications that support the requirements defined by users and analysts. Review and test applications developed by the Application Development team to ensure conformance to SLS development standards and to ensure solutions are developed utilizing appropriate technical components and techniques.
Work collaboratively with team members and business partners in defining, designing, developing and implementing technology solutions to improve business functions.
Review and evaluate employees’ work and prepare job performance reviews. Assist in making decisions on personnel actions including hiring, terminations and promotions.
Assist with the recommendation and evaluation of new technical tools and techniques and managing their implementation.
Regular, consistent, and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

SKILLS

4+ years experience with developing ASP.Net and VB.Net applications.
4+ years experience with web development utilizing ASP, VB Script, Javascript, HTML, XML, cascading stylesheets.
4+ years experience with developing SQL Server applications and optimization.
4+ years experience with SQL coding including DDL, DML, stored procedures, and triggers.
Demonstrated experience with Visual Basic a plus.
Experience with other Microsoft languages and technologies.
Demonstrated experience with technical design, reviews and leadership for the design and implementation of enterprise applications.
Demonstrated experience with adhering to usability, design and development standards.
Demonstrated experience with all aspects of unit testing, performance testing and user acceptance testing.
Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or lead role.
In-depth experience with the development lifecycle and software development methodologies.
Ability to work in a collaborative, dynamic team environment and interact at all levels.
Ability to motivate team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management and project planning/strategizing skills.
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
Strong leadership and excellent customer service skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science preferred.
4+ years of development work experience.
2+ years of technical leadership experience.
Loan servicing or mortgage lending experience preferred.
