Treasury Management Team Leader

Supports the assigned market in developing its TMS opportunities.  Manage and advise a medium size group of Treasury Management Sales Managers in specific geographical regions.  Ensure team of Sales Managers and Sales Associates meet or exceed annual Treasury Management Sales goals.  Direct expense control.  Executes strategic plans designed to grow Treasury management business and promote team synergy.  Assists in managing the market's treasury management portfolio.Bachelors degree with any emphasis in Business Administration, Finance and 10+ years in the the Treasury Management field and 3+ years supervisory experience, minimum of 8 years financial industry work experience.Scope of Responsibility: % of Time Business Development:  40% Individual Account Responsibility:  Yes Business Acumen:  Consultative Complexity:  Activities Reviewed Level of independence:  Independence with guidance from manager Management Responsibility:  4-7 Sales Managers/AssociatesSpecific Duties/Accountabilities: *Administers policies as they affect the Treasury Management Sales within the assigned group or region. *Supports assigned markets in identifying Treasury Management opportunities and ensuring that sufficient staffing and support is available to realize those opportunities. *Calls with market staff on prospects, customers, and referrals to identify and meet needs for payment and liquidity solutions through Treasury Management sales. *Establishes sales goals for markets and for each Sales Manager and Sales associate and reviews their progress toward goals. *Exercises the usual authority of a group/region manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations. *Ensures that training for Sales Managers and Sales Associates is complete. *Manages the department and individual Treasury Management portfolio and ensures that the profitability of the TMS portfolio is maintained or exceeded. *Partners with Treasury Management Sales Group Leaders, Product Management, M&I Support Services, and Metavante to build and implement sound products and processes for selling and supporting Treasury Management services across all regions. *Actively promotes the cross selling of all TMS and bank products and services. *Participates in community activities, which will enhance M&I's presence and product and services. *Participates in community activities, which will enhance M&I's presence and product visibility. *Identifies critical linkage partners and work with them on a proactive basis. *Makes referrals as appropriate. Consistently models inclusion-based behaviors resulting in respectful, effective working relationships with employees and customers. *Demonstrates results in enhancing departmental diversity and quality of work life. *Maintains a current awareness and understanding of appropriate banking laws regulations, internal Bank policies and procedures, and to fully comply with those laws, regulations policies and procedures.  Additionally the Group Leader is responsible for creating an environment in which they hold their employees accountable for the above. *Responsible for other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree *6+ years work experience in the Treasury Management or Commercial Banking environment. *3+ years supervisory experience.Additional Qualifications: *Minimum of 8 years financial industry work experience. *Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration or Finance or 5 years experience in Treasury Management. *Srong knowledge of Treasury Management Services products; and associated risks, policies, operations, and procedures relating to all Treasury Management products offered by the Bank. *Solid business development, market management, consensus building,and creative skills.  Project management and Product Planning skills preferred. *Strong managerial, verbal and written communication skills. *Understanding of and ability to execute on a variety of relationship and sales techniques.Performance Measures: *Meet personal and team sales and business development objectives. *Ensure Treasury Management Sales Managers or Sales Associate team is meeting or exceeding sales goals. *Provide guidance and support to Treasury Management Group Leaders or Treasury Management team leaders through regularly scheduled review session and timely conversations. *Conduct and administer employee performance reviews in a timely fashion. *Monitor accuracy and effectiveness of Treasury Management Sales Managers or Sales Associates by reviewing TMS database reports and through meetings with Group Leaders and Sales Managers. *Monitor and maintain sales processes for soundness, efficiency, and accuracy. *Demonstrate awareness of and adhere to budgetary guidelines. *Achieve individual and team goals regarding number of calls on existing customers, prospects and referral sources.In return for your contribution, we offer a generous benefits package to include:401K with immediate employee participationTuition reimbursementMedical, dental, and flexible spending planStock purchase planEmployee referral programPension & profit sharing planPaid vacation and holidays M&I Bank is an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER See our web site at mibankcareers.com  Company: Marshall & Ilsley Corporation Location: Milwaukee, WI 53202 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
