Test Automation Engineer
The primary focus for this role (Officer, Test Automation) is to design, build and execute the automated test cases in order to improve the quality of mission critical applications.
Responsibilities:
1-Assist the Test Architect or Test Lead in the development of the test automation strategy and focus specifically on maximizing reuse for regression purposes.
2-Use risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for various company’s Applications
3-Daily activities involved in Test Automation. Including design, build and execute the automated test cases
4-Effectively communicate test automation activities and findings in oral and written formats.
5-Integrate the Automated test suites into the test management system and custom test harnesses..
6-Implement the strategy via developing, coding and executing test case and test script frameworks using automated tools such as Rational Functional Tester and other rational suite tools, or Compuware tools.
7- Evaluate the functional and non-functional requirements for testability and the test cases and use cases for suitability for automation.
8- Work closely with the Business Associates and test teams as well as the development teams.
9- Work with the Release Engineering team to create and maintain an automated nightly build verification (“smoke”) test. General requirements : Required Experience:
•3-4 years of experience in test automation
•2+ years experience in Test Automation in banking/services industry
•Good Knowledge in any one of programming languages like C, .Net, VB and Java.
•Good understanding of the various IT technologies, J2EE and Microsoft
•2+ years of experience in one of the scripting languages vbscript, jscript etc.
•Strong knowledge of engineering and design principles
•Strong SDLC discipline and knowledge
•Good knowledge and ability to apply the OOPS concepts in Test Automation.

• Able to operate independently with minimum supervision
• Ability to learn (Self Learner)
• Adaptable to business needs and priorities but able to “make a stand” in order to ensure quality
