Role:

 

  Assists Credit Union members with friendly, accurate, and timely assistance with their financial transactions.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 



 

Receives, processes, and posts member financial transactions, including deposits,

withdrawals and loan payments;  issues money orders and travelers checks, gift checks,

share withdrawal checks and cashier's checks for members;  transfers amounts from member

accounts as directed.

Refers and cross-sells credit union services after assessing the needs of the member; 

directs member to appropriate departments for specific information concerning any service

as needed.

Greets members and provides routine information concerning products and services.

  Performs other related duties as needed or assigned.

 

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

Experience: Up to six months customer service in retail sales culture where weekly/monthly sales goals

  must be met.

 

Education: A high school education or GED.

 

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.  Work involves much personal

  contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters

  for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.

 

Other Skills: Must be able to operate 10 key calculator and computer keyboard by touch and be proficient with MS Word.

  Must be detail orientated with numbers.

  Must be able to stand in one place for long periods of time.
