APL Federal Credit Union is a progressive, service-oriented community credit union located near Columbia that serves Howard County, Maryland. We are currently seeking a Full-Time and a Part-Time Teller to work at our Applied Physics Lab Campus location.
Under supervision, and in accordance with existing procedures and systems, Tellers provide a variety of member service functions involving the receipting and/or disbursing of funds. (i.e. check, money order, travelers checks). Work involves constant and direct dealing with credit union members and potential members, and requires the ability to accurately record information and communicate effectively. Work may be performed on the teller platform or at the drive-thru windows.
Requirements include: at least 1 year in customer service or retail position including cash handling. Prior teller/ financial institution experience a plus. The Full-Time Position will work Monday - Friday 8AM – 5PM, and must be available for Saturday rotation. The Part-Time Position will work mid-day hours (generally 10-3), four days during the week and every Saturday from 8:45 AM – 12:15 PM. This will create a position with approximately 25 hrs per week.
Starting salary from $12.50 per hour based on experience. Excellent salary and benefit package for F/T position including Paid Time Off, paid holidays, medical/dental insurance, 401(k) employer contribution AND employer funded pension. P/T position eligible for pro-rated PTO, holidays and retirement benefits.
