Systems Administrator with HP servers,HP Blade Servers, Windows 2000/2003 server

Modis is looking for a Systems Administrator II to work on-site in downtown Boston for a 4+ month contract assignment.  This individual will install, configure and support Windows 2003 servers, server applications and server builds/configurations in an enterprise production Datacenter.  Candidates will join a team of System Engineers Level 1 and 2 primarily focused on Infrastructure production support. Operations support includes: Provisioning new servers, deploying, upgrading, and decommissioning existing servers. Support the day to day operations environment (including SMS, HP, AV, SIM, and service center incident and request queue) Part of on call rotation for 24x7 support for escalated problem resolution and business unit based projects. Technical Project lead for business unit based or infrastructure projectsRequired Experience: 4-5 years experience with Compaq/HP servers Experience with HP Blade Servers a must Experience with Rapid Deployment Packages or server imaging Windows 2000 and 2003 Server experience including DNS,WINS, and DHCP Experience with MOM, SharePoint a plus Experience working in an Enterprise corporate datacenter environment Experience with managing and monitoring systems VMWare ESX Experience a plus Citrix Experience a plus MS Clustering and SQL a plus Familiarity with San Storage technologies a plus Very Good documentation skills Strong understanding of network topologies related to server infrastructure On call rotation required Job Reference Code: System Administrator II Company: Modis, Inc.
