Storage management Programmer Storage Management System Programmer needed to support multiple z/OS environments, including a mix of stand-alone LPARs and parallel sysplex LPARs, in a high availability environment. The position will include: •Installation or customization, maintenance, and problem resolution for storage related z/OS operating system software •Installation or customization, maintenance, and problem resolution for OEM storage related operating system support products •DFSMS / DFHSM / FDRABR coding and management •Setup, implementation and management of DASD Replication products and processes •Monitor allocation/used/free space at the SMS storage pool level to help insure availability of space for critical applications •Interaction with many different groups, including MVS support, application support, hardware support, operations support, and various levels of management as well as interaction with clients •Should be able to explain technical information to non-technical personnel •Provide 24x7x365 on-call support on a rotating basis and perform other on-call duties as required. •Able to work system maintenance/implementation windows which are generally 1 AM to 5 AM Sunday mornings •Work with various groups in evaluating and recommending storage related hardware and software products •Work remotely and possibly travel to work with similar groups and provide service in other Fidelity National data centers or clients of FIS •Evaluate, estimate, and provide recommendations for new and existing clients •Maintain and provide documentation •Prepare for disaster recovery and participate in recovery tests and actual disaster recovery, if declared Minimum Requirements: The candidate should: • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including a vocabulary and style which permits the conveyance of technical information clearly, concisely and unambiguously. •Be able to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences in a group presentation setting. •Have a demeanor and communications style which is commensurate with client facing communications. •Be self-motivating and able to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple tasks - completing those tasks within the given timeframe •Be able to function as a team member in a multi-group, multi-team member environment •Be able to use Microsoft PC products like MS-Word and MS-EXCEL •Have experience with the management of DFSMS / DFHSM / FDRABR and other storage related products •Have operations or programming experience in a z/OS environment, including experience with JCL, DFDSS, and other utilities •Have experience with developing and executing test plans and verification scripts Education: College Degree or equivalent work experience. Experience: Candidate should have a minimum of three years or more experience in programming or operations field on a z/OS environment for a junior level candidate to five or more years experience for a senior or consultant level candidate. Desired Qualifications: •Five or more years as a Senior Level Storage Management Operating Systems Programmer in the z/OS or OS/390 Operating Systems. •Senior Level knowledge of configuring, managing and maintaining DFSMS, DFHSM and FDRABR. •Experience in managing DASD replication utilizing the IBM replication tools such as Global Mirror / Global Copy •Have experience with the processes and procedures required to manage DASD replication from one location to another •Experience in coding of DFSMS ACS routines and constructs to manage and influence tape allocation •Experience coding for and managing IBM Virtual Tape equipment and ATL, especially TS7700E and TS3584 •Experience managing SUN/STK products HSC/SMC and also STK SILO and virtual tape hardware such as VSM and 9310 SILOS. •Experience in management and implementation of tape and/or DASD encryption strategies and processes •General familiarity with the overall operating system environment and major component/subsystem (for example JES2, etc.) •Knowledge of Project Management methods and techniques. •Senior Level analytical and problem solving skills. •Knowledge of CA/MIM, TDMF, StopX, SAMS Vantage products is a plus.
