Risk Management is PayPal's key competitive advantage. Our ability to enable revenue and prevent fraud and manage credit and other risks in online transactions and markets makes us the largest and fastest growing online payments company in the world. The Risk Product Management team develops and manages innovative product solutions such as authentication methods, buyer protection programs, and fraud detection tools and models. Along with the Risk Strategy and Consulting groups, the Transaction Risk Product team is responsible for loss rates of all key financial instruments PayPal supports. The team is responsible for implementing models and platforms to prevent ACH, Credit Card and Exit risk as well as strategies for loss recovery. These products impact over $40 Billion of payments around the world.The transaction risk team is looking for a product manager with a passion for innovation and growth. The candidate will report to the head of Transaction Risk Product Management and will be responsible for: - Owning the product development life cycle from inception, gathering requirements, leading a team of engineers through development and QA to live launch and ongoing product management, enhancement and development. - Partnering with other global product managers, the modeling teams and risk consultants to develop product specifications for transaction Risk initiatives and features. - Partnering with Risk Consultants to identify fraud MOs and mitigation solutions for all new PayPal products as well as ensuring performance and return on existing products. - Maintaining an adequate level of fraud losses by identifying product enhancements and making recommendations on opportunities for loss prevention and recovery. - Reviewing new technologies and industry fraud trends.- Supporting the global expansion of all PayPal services by implementing new products to manage incremental risk.Qualifications:The ideal candidate should have experience using PayPal and eBay and should be creative, motivated and have prior product management experience. Other requirements include: - Three to Five years of experience in business with significant experience in the payment industry. - Project Management with a strong focus on execution and motivating cross functional teams to deliver high quality and timely products.- Strong technical understanding of Internet technologies and the operations of a commercial web site. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills. - Ability to translate business requirements to technical specification documents and communicate these to engineering and QA teams. - Leadership and strong communication skills with diverse audiences and stakeholders.- Preferred subject matter expertise: Credit card and ACH processing, regression models, working knowledge of analysis, Knowledge of e-commerce fraud benchmarks, trends, techniques and MOs is a definite plus - Work experience with a major e-commerce retailer, website, payment processor or equivalentBasic QualificationsBachelors degree or equivalent; Masters degree or equivalent preferred, especially in a quantitative or technical field.Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceJob Location: San Jose, CAJob Number: RUSAEBAY22239-615089Company URL: http://www.ebaycareers.com Salary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience Job Location:  Silicon Valley/San Jose, CA 95121 Job Number:  27601BR.1072 Company URL:  http://www.ebaycareers.com
