Sr. Image/Item Processing Systems Analyst

Responsibilities:

 

Under minimal  supervision, this top level (distributed) systems analyst is responsible for leading the project team for preparing Statement of Work, project estimates, project plans, functional design requirements, feasibility studies, alternative solutions analysis, program specifications, test plans, test scripts, conversion plans and implementation plans.  Functions as an internal consultant for the applications support team for design review and quality, to ensure the product or implementation meets designated project timeline, and budget expectations.

   

Analyst will use extensive knowledge of Item Processing and Check 21 to assist in the processing of image remote deposit and remote capture.  He/She should be able to understand how to utilize the x937 standard for receipt of transactions from external sources for processing at the bank.  Should have a thorough understanding of the x937 specifications, it current status and future changes.  In understanding these standards, utilize analytical skills to provide implementation support for new clients, provide testing strategies and coordinate testing to meet service level agreement. Reports results to client liaison, attend meetings as necessary for implementation planning and ensuring that appropriate testing and down stream processes are not affected by new incoming work.  Assists in the installation and overall testing of bank developed or vendor supplied packages.  The analyst helps identify areas in operations and processing which may be improved or which may offer new opportunities to improve the business.  The analyst may be called upon to provide formal and informal user training and general user support.  Acts as a consultant for and to user management in planning and implementing system and operational changes, and assists in the preparation of business plans and acts as liaison between department and other business units. Considered highly versatile, and as such, may be called upon to fulfill a variety of functions, which may be deemed necessary by management. The analyst may perform testing and assist in problem resolution on a 24 hour basis. Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced staff. Regularly works under deadlines and may be subject to extreme workloads. The analyst should possess a high level of analytical skills as recognized by industry standards, as well as extensive bank operations and item processing knowledge. 

 

Requirements:5+ years experience with at least two years in a management or project lead position.Excellent knowledge of Item Processing work flow to include capture and clearingExcellent knowledge of Check 21 and the ANSI x937 standards.Working knowledge of Image Exchange and Image Mark POD capture system.Expert knowledge of analytical, design, and testing techniques.Able to prepare system designs, technical specifications, and time estimates for solutions to user requests.Comprehensive knowledge of bank business and processes such as EPM, interrelationships among bank systems and the system/work flow within the organization.Proficient in the use of project management methodology, including related software tools, and understands project life cycle process.Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent organization, planning, and interpersonal skills.Superior understanding of the organizational structure and corporate culture and priorities.Flexibility to work on multiple systems and different business areas at the same time. 

Preferred:Ability to read Unix code and Perl scripts
