Sr. Derivatives Trading System Developer Description UBS is a leading global financial services firm. By combining your talent and our strengths, we can achieve great results. This is a development role that is focused on the software needs of existing trading systems in the credit derivatives area. Development will be performed on a trade capture system that supports both bespoke trade creation as well as electronic trading of credit derivatives. We are looking for an experienced trading system developer who can make a significant contribution to the growth and evolution of our credit derivatives trading system development and systems integration. The developer will be involved in the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering through development and support, with particular emphasis on design/implementation. Offers excellent opportunity to use and/or enhance knowledge of fixed-income derivatives. Software design, development, documentation, unit testing. Liaising with production support staff concerning changes that are scheduled to go to production and providing second level support to systems in production. Develop software, both by extending existing systems and developing new ones from scratch. Be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle (from analysis and specification through to testing and deployment) but with the emphasis on systems development. Contribute to projects being on schedule and meeting client needs. Work with a demanding User base, being capable of communicating on the Users terms. Keep colleagues informed of developments; work collaboratively. Contribute to recruitment, coaching or induction of new team members. Develop systems in an effective manner, using innovation and common sense to provide the bank with the tools to increase its profitable growth. Work in a variety of technical environments, developing own skill sets to match the changing technological environment within the bank. Occasional travel to Stamford and London possible.
