Join our dynamic team as a Small Business Relationship Manager/Senior and help build the future of our exciting and rapidly growing Small Business Banking organization. The Small Business Relationship Manager (SBRM) will directly manage the acquisition, retention and expansion of up to 150 specifically assigned customer portfolios, covering multiple Financial Centers in multiple markets. The SBRM is responsible for up to 4 Financial Centers and Small Business customers with revenues of up to $10 million. The successful applicant will seek and source new customers through relationship management, referrals and influence networking with both current and new customers and contacts. Must be commercially trained and fully credit aware to build a sound portfolio to achieve bottom line business results. Must possess superior knowledge and expertise in Relationship Management for Small Business customers. Applicants with a history of success in this capacity possess 5-10 years of experience in Small Business or Commercial banking with a large or multi-state bank. • 5 + years of Business Banking / Financial Services relationship management experience • Experience building relationships with branches in a retail network • Experience building a referral network via current client base and centers of influence • Demonstrated excellence in business relationship-building skills • Demonstrated results in development and execution of strategy to build sales and successful business relationships • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree preferred (or the equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the job) • Travel required Washington Mutual is an equal opportunity employer.
