Small Business Portfolio Administrator
GENERAL SUMMARY: Responsible for small business portfolio administration and servicing of small business loans. Duties include administrative support to the Small Business Loan Center and occasionally to Commercial Relationship Managers, Commercial Portfolio Managers and Retail Branch Managers as issues relate to small business loans. Provides back up support to Small Business Portfolio Managers as it relates to client contact and inquiries. Coordinates the renewal process. Performs a variety of administrative tasks in support of various Small Business Loan Center functions. MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Portfolio Administration Ensures proper follow through on all applications from initial request to documentation. Follows established policies and procedures to ensure that all declined and withdrawn loans are processed in a timely manner. Ensures all renewal processing is handled in a timely manner. Verifies accuracy of annual review letters. Updates One Point ticklers as needed. May contact clients for required application, covenant tracking and renewal information within established guidelines. Maintains the quality of credit files. Ensures all packages are properly prepared for imaging. 2. Maintenance and Servicing Maintains distinctive level of client service that meets or exceeds client expectations. Responds to client questions and requests promptly. In cooperation, works with Loan Support, Loan Servicing, Commercial Relationship and Portfolio Managers, and Retail Groups to resolve questions, complaints, and or errors. To the satisfaction of the client and benefit to the company, resolves problems on accounts. 3. Portfolio Management Reporting Distributes portfolio-monitoring reports to Commercial Relationship and Portfolio Managers, Small Business Loan Center Manager, and Retail Groups. Maintains daily tracking reports to ensure proper follow through on all renewals and applications from initial request through to loan closing. Prepares and distributes weekly interest rates sheets. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: 1. Work requires a broad level of professional experience in commercial banking or retail banking. Position requires 1–2 years work experience in commercial lending or retail lending. 2. Position requires ability to utilize standard PC based software to prepare correspondence, reports and other documents as needed. 3. Strong communication skills are needed to effectively work with internal/external clients to explain products and interpret policy. 4. A varied level ofproblem solving skills are needed to find solutions to problems that are technically complex and require collection, interpretation, and analysis of data from diverse sources is required. 5. Work is under minimalsupervision, where the work requires independent judgment in the interpretation of existing policies and procedures and the selection of alternative work routines. SPECIFIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work requires reasonable mobility in and around the work area. Ability to use standard computer and phone systems is required. WORKING CONDITIONS: 1. Normal office environment where there is almost no discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, or other disagreeable elements. 2. Work includes little or no potential exposure to hazardous conditions. 3. Must be able to travel to remote company and/or client locations.
