Senior Trade Settlements Specialist with Advent Geneva Experience
Multi-Billion Dollar Asset Management Firm has an immediate opening for a Senior Trade Settlements Specialist. The Trade Settlements Specialist is responsible to verify and maintain all data related to securities processing in the firms recordkeeping system. This includes security information, prices, ratings and other data required to accurately reflect the positions and generate transactions within the portfolios. In addition, this group is responsible for designing checks and scrubs to ensure the ongoing integrity of data. You must be able to perform the following:
Position Responsibilities:
• Manage and track all corporate actions. Coordinate with portfolio managers, analysts and custodians to ensure successful completion of corporate actions
• Process corporate actions in trading and accounting systems to ensure accurate holdings
• Work closely with external resources, legal counsel, counterparties, and agents for successful completion of documentation for closing of loans
• Liaise between portfolio managers, traders and trustees for all portfolio-specific activity and issues, ensuring cross-communication of critical information between firm departments
• Confirm trades and send out allocations to counterparties on a timely basis
• Discover, research and resolve transactional and valuation discrepancies
• Resolve trade settlement issues and log resolution
• Coordinate loan funding payments funding and withdrawals and special requests
• Ensure maintenance of administrative records in account/fund files
• Work with managers, custodians and prime brokers to set up new accounts
• Participate in special projects such as technology advancements
Experience and Skills Required:
• BS or BA in Finance or related discipline
• Accounting background required
• Minimum three years of investment management operations experience
• Corporate Action experience required
• Strong fixed-income product knowledge, particularly bank loans, CLO’s, CDO’s variable rates securities, derivatives
• Hedge fund or private equity experience is a plus
Computer Skills:
• Knowledge of Advent Geneva and WSO required
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel – knowledge of formulae a must (e.g.
“vlookup”)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Access or other databases a plus
• Basic knowledge of Bloomberg required
