Assure records required for recovery are identified and property maintained. Work with other BCP officers and coordinators within the organization to ensure efforts are compliant with company and industry standards and recommendations.Identify and make recommendations regarding critical points of vulnerability. Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and assist company units to determine critical business processes. Identify acceptable recovery times, and establish resources required for the successful resumption of business operations in the event of a disaster.Design, implement, and maintain a disaster recovery strategy for IT assets and processes. Coordinate efforts with other AIG staff including those at the AIG Data Center to ensure appropriate facilities are in place in the event of a disaster.Maintain SLA and contingency plans with business units and vendors. Periodically review changes in corporate resources with the management of those areas to assure the effectiveness of the recovery procedure and backup capabilities.SOX Coordinator functions:Evaluate, facilitate and perform SOX testing of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) supporting functions and controls. Provide support leading to qualitative improvements in controls, reduce/eliminate control deficiencies.Take the initiative to monitor overall SOX remediation efforts.Assist in the performance of functional process walkthroughs with Audit (internal and external) as necessary.Participate in various projects related to improvement and refinement of the ERM internal control framework.Suggested Capabilities and Experience:BCP:Strong project management skills with the ability to plan organize, and direct the testing of emergency response, recovery support and business resumption procedures. Demonstrated communication and presentation skillsPossess working knowledge of IT infrastructure, processing and telecommunications platforms in addition to proficiencies with computer applications as they apply to data collection analysis, report and presentation development (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Project, etc.)Thorough knowledge and understanding of current business continuity planning techniques and technologies as well as the methods used in performing risk analysis and business impact analyses.5 years experience in the field performing analysis including development and execution of business continuity analysis, risk assessments, Component Failure Impact Analysis (CFIA), Business Impact Analysis (BIA), recovery strategy and plan development, and data center testing.Certified Business Continuity Professional is preferred.SOX:3-6 years of operational/IT audit or substantive SOX related work. Big 4 experience and/or risk management experience is preferred.Detailed understanding of internal controls and SOX requirements, self motivated, detail oriented.Experience with flowcharting preferred.Good project management skills, organized, able to multitask. Desire to take a leadership role and foster strong relationships with executives in our subsidiaries and corporate departments.Proven writing skills, able to articulate complex ideas in layman’s terms.
