Senior Personal Banker

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a senior personal banker to join our State Street facility. Our ideal candidate will have strong client servicing, banking, prior new business and community outreach experience. In addition, candidate must be used to handling high volumes and possess strong leadership and multitasking skills. Responsible for servicing clients with a full range of personal banking products and services. Cultivates and develops relationships for more complex credit and investment needs of clients. Knowledge/SkillsKnowledge of bank products and services, usually acquired through related work experience and formal training, is required to service clients. Knowledge of federal regulations and bank credit guidelines, usually acquired through related work experience or formal training, is required to ensure compliance of personal banking products and services. Analytical and sales skills are necessary to review client's financial needs and recommend investment opportunities that meet those needs. Major Duties1. Services clients with a full range of personal banking services. Opens and closes accounts, resolves inquiries and problems, and changes account types.2. Maintains maintenance and growth of assigned portfolios by cultivating and developing relationships for more complex credit and investment needs of clients.3. Cross sells bankwide products and services to clients by expanding the personal banking relationship to more complex needs (Benchmark mutual funds, lines of credit, letters of credit, etc.).4. Participates in outside calling efforts and entertains selected clients as appropriate for retention or relationship expansion.5. Approves and authorizes personal credit applications, lines of credit, overdrafts, cash advances, checks, and certificate of deposit receipts. Has loan approval authority for loans $10,000 and greater.6. Provides analytical expertise to other bankers by evaluating and analyzing credit applications.7. Participates in the Bank's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) marketing programs by attending meetings and completing presentations to community groups and schools in designated CRA communities.8. Reviews loan documentation to ensure compliance with federal regulations and bank credit guidelines.9. Functions as a liaison for external vendors on servicing issues.10. Keeps abreast of laws and regulations that affect compliance issues and personal banking products and services. Understands and applies laws and regulations as they relate to personal banking products and services.11. Assumes selective administrative assignments. Participates and directs project-oriented tasks when directed by unit manager. Experience5 years of related experience.
