Senior Network Engineer

Kern Schools Federal Credit Union has been serving the financial community since 1938. With over $1.7 billion in assets, KSFCU is a rapidly growing credit union committed to world-class service.

The candidate will be a member of the Information Technology team. The candidate will lead other Network Administrators in designing, installing, and maintaining highly available systems in support of applications surrounding a large financial institution. Consult with development teams throughout the product lifecycle. Provide support and guidance to Network Administrators. Will report to the Project Manager.

MUST HAVE:
* Solid Active Directory and Windows Server knowledge.
* Solid Exchange e-mail server knowledge.
* Solid Citrix MetaFrame administration skills.

Strongly desired:
* 5 years as systems admin using Windows based systems
* 3 years administration of SQL Server or Oracle
* Strong working knowledge of security practices
* Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, firewalls and load balancing

Relevant skill sets include:
* Knowledge of general IT service
* Backup and disaster recovery planning
* Automation of internal and external processes
* DNS, LDAP, SAMBA, Application Packaging, SSH, Scripting, Perl, Cold Fusion, IIS/Apache
* Documentation of processes and procedures
* Tuning of complex, distributed applications

Minimum Qualifications needed:

* BS/BA/MS degree or equivalent work experience, with 3 to 5 years of experience in the area of Network Administration/Engineering in a corporate IT environment.
* Exceptional written communication skills.
* The candidate should have a strong background in Information Technology, including experience with enterprise systems, working knowledge of networks and applications, and operations.
* Strong general communication skills.
Must be able to adapt to changing requests and must be able to meet deadlines.
