SunTrust Bank has a current opportunity for a Senior Financial Officer (SFO) supporting the Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer within SunTrust Mortgage. This position is located in the Corporate Office for SunTrust Mortgage (â€œSTMâ€) in Richmond, Virginia. The Senior Financial Officer (SFO) will serve as the chief financial consultant and performance advisor to the Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the Mortgage Line-of-Business (SunTrust Mortgage). Provide financial oversight of a $35+ Billion loan and investment portfolio and $1+ Billion Mortgage Servicing Rights asset, including analysis/explanation of the relationship of these assets/businesses to the mortgage origination business. The SFO will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial results for division and LOB management. Drive optimal performance measurement. Processes/techniques/methodologies for division. Provide strong financial/analytical platform for decision making. Develop annual financial plan and monthly forecast of divisional performance. Present performance results, forecasts, and risks/opportunities with business partner to SFO/CEO in monthly Business Line Performance Review (BLPR). SunTrust is seeking candidates with a degree in Finance and 10+ years financial management experience in a Mortgage Banking company, with specific experience related to Asset and Risk management. Prior experience in role as primary finance support and chief performance advisor to a senior business manager. Prior experience creating and managing financial forecasts and plans. Strong proficiency with MS Office, especially MS Excel. Database analysis (e.g., Access) and financial modeling experience. MBA or Masters of Finance a plus. Public accounting experience a plus. TM1 experience a plus. QRM experience a plus.
