Senior Database Developer

Responsibilities
As a member of the solution development, implementation, and support teams, the database developer will be responsible for development, testing, installation, and support of production environments.
- Data modeling and design including index creation and data normalization
- Developing database methods using standard SQL
- Performance analysis and tuning
- Installation, operations and maintenance support
- Design and analyze business logic algorithms
- Develop, and enhance system and business application level functionality
- Prepare conceptual, detail and technical design documentation
- Ensure assigned functionality adheres to performance and development standards
- Use quality assurance procedures to report defects and propose enhancements
- Work with teammates and clients to achieve the highest quality, industry leading products
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems ( MIS ) Computer Science ( CS ) or similar
- U.S. Citizen or permanently authorized to work in the U.S.
- 2+ years professional software development experience in high volume/high performance, large, complex databases
Technical Requirements
- MS SQL server, Oracle, IBM DB2/UDB
Communication Skills
- Must have effective written and verbal business communication skills
- Able to produce and interpret design specifications and technical documentation
- Able to work in a team environment
