Senior Consultant- Financial Management Training and Education

We have a great opportunity on our Corporate Relations team for a Senior Consultant - Financial Management Training & Education.   Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Corporate Relations, this position will enhance skills and leadership of the financial staff of member cooperatives through the design and instruction of specialized courses in the areas of finance and accounting.

 Essential Functions include:In collaboration with our national trade association-  identify the training needs in the area of financial management for the member cooperatives, coordinate and develop course/program curriculum, develop teaching materials for courses including case studies, lectures, coordination of guest speakers or site visits for specialty areas Instruct/facilitate courses Cross train/coach others that may be able to assist with teaching or facilitating courses Adapt materials and improve courses and curriculum on an on-going basis as needed Provide on-going support and expertise to attendees/cooperative members to continue to enhance their skills and leadership abilities Assist as needed in other areas of educating member cooperatives including design and instruction of materials. Frequent travel required.

Qualifications Required - MBA or other advanced financial management, economics or accounting degree.10 years experience in a combination of education/teaching, professional services and/or business management.  Persuasive experience in creating teaching materials

Qualifications Desired -PhD in finance related area and/or  CPA Teaching experience at a college level Research and/or development and implementation of financial best practices, policies and procedures and related training materials Knowledge of electric and telephone cooperative operations and governance, financing and credit considerations.
