Senior Compensation Analyst
Develops, implements, and administers base and variable pay compensation programs. Researches and analyzes jobs and prepares job descriptions. Evaluates jobs using market pricing. Assists in administering the performance management and salary planning programs. Provides market competitive recommendations, guidance and solutions to Bank management. Conducts and participates in compensation surveys. May lead, train and/or direct work of more junior Compensation Analysts. The level of work required is considered advanced and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision. This job does not have any direct reports.
· Assists in the design, development and implementation of compensation programs
· Evaluates new positions using a market pricing approach
· Evaluates jobs using evaluation processes, determines market pricing and market value ranges
· Assists in development of Bank positions and prepares job descriptions
· Designs, evaluates, and maintains performance management processes and systems
· Assists in the annual salary planning process
· Provides ongoing salary planning guidance to management
· Designs, evaluates, and maintains variable pay programs
· Researches, analyzes and interprets market competitive data to provide compensation solutions
· Provides compensation consulting, guidance and recommendations to management
· Analyzes salary liability in order to create and communicate variable pay and merit budgets
· Interprets and applies Board of Governor/Bank policies
· Participates on and leads compensation projects
· Assists in the participation of annual compensation surveys
· May prepare and conduct formal presentations/training to management
· May train new employees
· Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· Bachelor degree or equivalent experience as noted below
· 5 to 7 years of professional work experience with 1 to 3 years experience in Compensation and/or training in related field
· Possesses and applies both a broad and specific knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments
· Coursework in business, human resources, statistics, or related areas beneficial
· Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
· Demonstrates independent thinking and decision-making abilities
· Working knowledge of PeopleSoft
· CCP desired
