Senior Business Analyst (Investment Planning)

Our Client is seeking a top caliber Senior Business Analyst.  Good, solid relevant experience from a top firm.  Examples include Charles Schwab Investment Management, Mellon Capital Investment Management and Barclays Global Investors.  §  In-depth experience with Planning Tool Experience (e.g., M-Pact, ASI Advisor or similar) as part of an integrated investment consulting platform is required.  §  Able to lead a complex business analysis work stream and manage to aggressive delivery timelines with stakeholder signoff and solution design.§  Potential candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of investment consulting solutions and managed money products for the brokerage business. §  Previous experience with wealth management applications and the investment management process are highly desired. Analytical Skills§  The ideal candidate will provide business and technical assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.  §  Excellence will be measured by maximizing effectiveness through an understanding of the data, systems, business users, client needs and operational processes. §  Experience working in a business analyst role on a large and highly complex vendor-based solution for an Investment Planning business is a requirement. §  As part of the interview process, please be prepared to provide an example of a business analysis artifact related to a complex project that would be applicable here.§  Experience with the implementation of an integrated vendor-based investment planning tool is required.   Roles and Responsibilities§  Candidate will be a team member on the Brokerage Implementation Team for the Investment Consulting Desktop Initiative and will support activities identified by the Brokerage leadership and a defined project plan.  §  This role will drive the requirements and change management process for the implementation and production enhancement process relating to Investment Planning.§  Activities include the planning, review and analysis of complex business issues/problems associated with the implementation of wealth management/investment management Planning Investment tool for the brokerage business.§  Manage the entire work stream (including production requests and prioritization) for the Investment Consulting Trading project for Investment Planning. §  Will require domestic travel on a regular basis (approximately one week out of every four-six weeks).§  Expertise with business requirements & process flows surrounding changes to existing and new applications as they relate to application functionality and business process requirements.§  Have responsibility for overseeing and coordinating application testing, including the creation of a master test plan, test case and use case creation, test execution and defect reporting.§  Facilitate weekly applications issues and remediation meetings.§  Responsible for managing the successful analysis and implementation of the trading application as a suitable Wealth Management solution for the brokerage line of business within the organization. Minimum Qualifications:§  Mandatory, in-depth experience with Investment Planning tools (e.g., M-Pact, ASI Advisor or equivalent).§  10+ years as a project manager in the Financial Services industry, with a proven track record of managing projects related to Investment Planning.§  7+ years of business analysis experience in the Financial Services industry.§  Demonstrated ability to manage a team, prioritize and execute against conflicting demands and situations.§  Excellent verbal and written communication skills – provide example of business analysis/business requirements document.§  Advanced user of the following applications: MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.§  Self-starter that is driven for finding solutions to issues and demonstrate the ability to think creatively and independently in providing suggestions to achieve positive results.§  Bachelor’s degree.  Company: Harvey Nash Location: san francisco, CA 94101 Status: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: IT/Software Development Company: Harvey Nash Email: Apply by Email Reference Code: 16762
