Communication Skills Key Accountabilities:  QA Environments Management - Manages installation and maintenance of applications and communication software. - Manages and monitors upgrade schedules for managed environments - Responsible for scheduling installation of new hardware, software and modifications of existing systems. - Responsible for analyzing and trouble shooting of system related problems. - Maintains knowledge base of supported systems, applications, and tools. - Ensures scripts are developed and maintained for updating test environments. - Can be assigned as QA Environments representative on complex application development or maintenance projects. - Estimates environments work effort for test planning - Researches emerging Information Technology trends/best practices and determines implications of proposed solutions on meeting business unit strategy. - Participates in detailed design phases for large projects/ programs identifying, tracking and suggesting resolutions for technical issues and ensuring solution meets sponsor needs and Project Management Framework/SDLC deliverables. - Recommends technical solutions for application components or enhancements - Contributes to successful project completion by identifying environment risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies. - Participates in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors. - Submits renewals for security exemptions related to managed environments Testing & Documentation - Directs limited testing of systems to assist QA staff on complex system enhancements or production support. - Ensures test environments are prepared prior to test start - Reviews and approves input to the Test Plans - Ensures detailed continuity documentation exists for all assigned processes Planning, Implementation & Support - Participates in the review of implementation planning & coordination. - Assist with system performance forecasting. - Provides assistance in disaster recovery planning for multiple applications. - Assists in performance tuning to improve performance across multiple systems. - Follow standards / guidelines for tools utilized. - Assist in investigation of production problems Relationships & Communication - Effectively communicates and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders and interface groups. - Prepares presentations for business and technology partners, senior management and executives, selecting the appropriate approach based on the audience. - Resolves conflicts/issues and escalates to others as appropriate.
