Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Company: First Citizens Bank SYSTEMS ENGINEER II (MS EXCHANGE/TUMBLE WEED) Position Description The ideal candidate will have technical and project management expertise focused in multiple areas that support technical infrastructure. Technical Infrastructure includes HP Server hardware, Windows 2000/2003 operating systems, Linux operating systems, File and print services, IIS, NLB, Clustering, Windows security (permissions, rights, local and group policy, etc.), Windows networking (shares, DNS, WINS, etc.), VB scripting, Active directory and LDAP, and virtualization (VMWare, MS Virtual Server, etc.). They must also have strong installation, testing, debugging and production support skills. Some of the responsibilities of a Systems Engineer II/III include daily production support for the software and hardware infrastructure and mentoring of junior employees. This individual will support the infrastructure that is the foundation on which our customer sales and service applications are built. Examples of this position are Windows or Linux system administrators and DBA(s). These individuals will deal with a variety of hardware platforms, operating systems, and complex software. They will be responsible for installing, maintaining, tuning, debugging, and performing the daily administration to keep the First Citizens Bank computer systems running. These positions require highly skilled and dedicated individuals who will be required to rotate on call responsibility. Position Requirements Basic Qualifications: * Four-year college degree (BA, BS, BBA) BS in Computer Science * At least 4 years experience with a minimum of 1 year working as a Systems Engineer in an enterprise data center environment. * Windows server system support experience required. * Support experience should include installation, setup and configuration, and troubleshooting with emphasis on proactive server monitoring to meet corporate availability and response time requirements.Required Qualifications:* At least 3 years of experience working as a Systems Engineer in an enterprise data center environment.* Strong technical abilities* Quick study of new technology via on the job training, the intellect to resolve complex problems logically and methodically, and good judgment to involve and communicate with vendors, senior level technicians, internal and external customers, and management.* Individual will participate in evaluating, designing and deploying new technologies as part of the Windows Systems team.An understanding of data flow and network interfaces and protocols is necessary.Other Preferred Qualifications: * Exchange Server Experience Required Apply Online
