SHAREPOINT ADMINISTRATOR

Company based in Columbia, SC is seeking a SharePoint Administrator. Candidate will be responsible for SharePoint administration at all levels, including managing permissions, monitoring, logging, patch administration, upgrades, all in coordination with other systems, priorities and projects. Responsibility for web servers both application-dedicated and not, as well as those in production, development, and QA environment is part of the job. Candidate will also perform traditional web administration of Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) layer which is resident underneath SharePoint, including managing permissions, site construction, monitoring, logging, IIS software maintenance including patch management and upgrades, all in coordination with other systems, priorities and projects. Responsibility for web servers both application-dedicated and not, as well as those in production, development, and QA environment is part of the job. In addition, acquisition of knowledge of software hosted by application-dedicated SharePoint servers is required for support of said applications at the web layer. Troubleshooting during development, rollout and production would be typical as well as performance diagnosis. Candidate must successfully support end-users on issues related to the SharePoint sites and provide limited consulting services to users related to web site design and implementation. Requirements: B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or strong work experience as a Web Administrator Microsoft IIS concepts and administration Job scheduling concepts and windows command line Programming and software development concepts Competency in some scripting language, preferably Perl
