Risk Analyst
Major International Bank located in midtown Manhattan is looking for an experienced Risk Analyst that will review market risk of the trading and investment portfolio. This person will review new trading products (derivatives and structured products) to ensure that all risk related aspects are properly disclosed and develop tools to monitor market risk.
Day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitor market risk exposure using Value at risk.
- Review structured products to determine updated risk profile.
- Research new products
- Analyze risk versus performance.
- Prepare papers for Risk Committee meetings
- Perform other duties, as assigned, which fall within the scope of responsibility.
Candidate must have three to five years of relevant experience with money market, foreign exchange and derivative products. Knowledge and expertise in banking/financial services, and financial modeling systems. BA in Finance or Accounting; MBA a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, thorough understanding of Wall Street data systems, i.e. Reuters, Bloomberg. Crystal/Access/SQL a plus.
