Retail Sales Supervisor

Job Description: Wells Fargo Home Mortgage has an opportunity for a highly motivated Retail Mortgage Sales Manager to help expand and grow our market share. Along with responsibility for personal mortgage production, the Retail Sales Manager directs the work of other external/outside mortgage sales professionals and assists in establishing and monitoring goals, implementing policies and procedures, and managing price protection. This position recruits, selects, orients, and trains mortgage loan officers, recommends and/or makes decisions in personnel-related matters. For consideration, applicants must have mortgage origination experience and established referral partners in the market in which they are applying. Bi-lingual applicants are encouraged to apply. Minimum Qualifications: Job Experience:• 3+ years of external/outside retail mortgage origination experience with an emphasis self sourced business• Proven retail mortgage lending sales experience with the ability to meet documented production standards of $12 million or 60 funded units in the past 12 months.• Established and documented referral partner relationships in the market in which they are applying (e.g., realtors, builders, attorneys, financial advisors or CPAs)• Proven ability to self-source leads and to create profitable business relationships with referral partners• Excellent customer service skills with the availability to assist customers on evenings and weekends• Willingness to work in a fully commissioned, outside sales environmentSkills/Competencies:• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain programs, loan terms, features, policies and benefits to customers and business partners• Demonstrated PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use database marketing• Demonstrated customer service skills• Demonstrated knowledge of the mortgage industry and loan structuring• Demonstrated leadership characteristics, organizational skills and experience working in an automated origination environment.• Demonstrated ability to develop a business plan and grow market share• Demonstrated ability to hire, motivate, coach, and manage sales staffPhysical Requirements:• Ability to move 15+ pounds• Ability operate moving vehicle or have access to transportation• Ability to stand/sit/walk for 6-8 hours a day• Ability to travel within the local area to make contact with realtors, builders and other referral sourcesEducation:• High School Education or equivalent Preferred Skills: • BA Business degree or related experience • 1+ years prior supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to effectively train and develop employees• Recruiting and training expertise• Excellent interpersonal skills applicable to a sales-oriented environment• Niche market experience in any of the following specialties: builder-focused, renovation, jumbo, reverse mortgages or serving bilingual clients• Knowledge of company products, policies and procedures, underwriting requirements, conventional and governmental loan requirements • Advanced knowledge of organizational procedures, operations and compliance rules and regulations• Bilingual and bi-literate • Demonstrated success in a fully commissioned, outside sales environment How to Express Interest in This Job: Wells Fargo invites you to apply for this job at https://employment.wellsfargo.com/psp/PSEA/APPLICANT_NW/HRMS/c/HRS_HRAM.HRS_CE.GBL?Page=HRS_CE_HM_PRE&Action=A&SiteID=1&Opening=3236460 We do not acknowledge the Online Application.WELLS FARGO IS AN AFFIRMATIVE ACTION AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER M/F/D/V.
