Retail Investment Sales AssistantBoston, MAIn this role, you’ll assist in the administration of the Investment Service Program, providing excellent customer service and helping program participants in supply and completion of paperwork and product fulfillment.   WHAT YOU WILL DO:* Respond to program participants and assist in problem resolution as related to administration and internal and external customer questions* Provide administrative support for assigned team member(s) with information and materials distribution, calendar management, meeting scheduling, travel arrangements, and general program administration* Maintain several reports for different dedicated audiences; performing data entry and report manipulation as required* Distribute information to different audiences as needed* Prepare routine correspondence to internal and external contacts* Stay current with all internal and external correspondence* Provide clerical support such as opening and distributing mail, ordering supplies, photocopy requests and maintaining filing systems* Keeping all files current and up to date with compliance/industry regulations* Ensure all materials (e.g. fund prospectuses, disclosures, applications, and other various sales materials) are current, compliant and available to program participants* Maintain required professional training including appropriate licensing and knowledge of NASD compliance, FDIC compliance, the Bank's uninsured Products Policy Statement and all applicable state and federal regulations* Identify potential sales opportunities during normal contact with bank customers and current clients* Provide product recommendations or schedule appointments as appropriate* Other duties as assigned or requested WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:* HS diploma or GED * Training and business development experience within Financial Services* 1-3 years experience * Excellent organizational, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills* Strong customer service skills* Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously* Strong skills in word processing and/or PC applications  * Knowledge of MS Office preferred Sovereign Bank Team Members receive:* Flexible Hours * Medical, Dental, Vision Plans * Tuition Reimbursement * 401K plan * Free Parking * Competitive Pay  Interested and qualified candidates may apply online at www.sovereignbank.com/companyinfo/careers You may also e-mail your resume to: cguglie@sovereignbank.com ABOUT SOVEREIGN:Sovereign Bancorp, Inc., (“Sovereignâ€�) (NYSE: SOV), is the parent company of Sovereign Bank, afinancial institution with principal markets in the Northeastern United States.
