Source, underwrite and manage a portfolio of corporate client credit relationships with revenues of $50 million and greater. Expand the "client relationship profitability" with new credit commitments and by "cross-selling" bank products and services.


Manage, retain, and grow a generalist portfolio of commercial banking relationships focused on companies located in the region surrounding San Francisco, possessing annual revenues ranging from $30 million to $1 billion.  A key element of the job is maintaining a consistent prospect calling program to develop new business opportunities with CEO's, CFO's and referral sources.

 

This position will be located in Walnut Creek (Northern California) and will be responsible for the following areas: Alameda, Contra Costa, and Solano. Must be able to source, underwrite, and manage upper middle market businesses with revenues of $50 million and greater. The position will require credit underwriting on new and existing accounts. Successful applicants will be skilled in monitoring customer accounts for credit deterioration, adhering to the Bank's credit policy and utilizing the Bank's credit management tools. The applicant must be able to work in a team environment in sourcing and closing new details.Proven consultative selling skills to sophisticated financial buyers focusing on proper capital structure options a customer or client could choose. Applicant must have organized prospect targeting and pre-call planning skills. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills is a must, including fluency in Word, Excel, projection software, prospect database software and skills in researching companies on the Internet.  Generalist credit underwriting and capital markets experience is essential. Consistent portfolio monitoring and proven history in successfully handling companies experiencing credit deterioration is essential.
