Public Affairs Rep I

Job Summary: 
This position supports the development and execution of strategic outreach programs for the San Antonio Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.  Individual must be a motivated public affairs professional, with proven experience in coordinating outreach programs and, developing and maintaining strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities: 
Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Public Affairs, this position will:
Serve as a Public Affairs contact and coordinator for the Banking Advisory Council.Facilitate relationships and strategic partnerships with stakeholders from the banking and  business communities. Actively pursue opportunities for public engagement and identify outreach opportunities throughout the San Antonio Branch territory. Provide event coordinating assistance for presentations, meetings, workshops and conferences. Track and report current global, regional and national economic trends important to the San  Antonio Branch region and conduct research for projects related to regional economic conditions. Assist with the development and publication of newsletters, periodic reports and stakeholder communications. Contribute to public affairs strategy development to support achievement of business goals and objectives.  Track, measure and report performance.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years public affairs, communications, public relations or marketing experience or equivalent  eduacation  and work experience may be substituted for any of the above.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Knowledge of basic economic principles and the Federal Reserve System. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel.  Ability to  travel  25 to 30 percent  of the time required. Previous banking or financial services industry experience is preferred. Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
Working Conditions:
Work hours 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday, but must be able to work a flexible schedule. May be required to work night or evening hours, and weekends and or overtime as required. Apply at:  www.dallasfed.org
