So if you’re ready for WaMu, read on!Personal Financial Representatives (PFRs) sell deposit products to customers, build new customer relationships through sales initiatives and telemarketing; and cross-sell and provide referrals to other areas of the Bank. In this role you would regularly call existing clients and outside prospects to develop and maintain business relationships. Responsibilities also include preparing routine correspondence, processing account changes, researching and resolving account-related problems, responding to customer inquiries, and assisting customers with account balancing. PFRs are also responsible for developing marketing plans, including outside sales, to generate business for the Financial Center (FC). You are expected to master sales techniques and increase your knowledge of more complex product offerings.In this position, you would be responsible for the sale and service of some or all types of consumer and residential lending products, as well as business banking products and services. We want to foster an environment in which our customers keep coming back. An essential part of fostering this environment is directing FC floor activities to make sure that customer needs are met, and that their questions are answered.Proven sales techniques High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred Ability to interact with all levels of management, employees, industry peers, and customers Strong oral and written communication skills Previous teller, customer service, or retail sales experience is preferred Knowledge of basic math and bookkeeping functions Knowledge and understanding of debt relationships, negotiable instruments, and Bank products and services Previous loan experience beneficialWashington Mutual is an equal opportunity employer.
