AmTrust Bank is currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join us as a Personal Banking Representative. The individual will work under general supervision, perform routine to moderately complex daily teller and new account transactions for customers, provide flexibility of coverage for the branch. Promote bank products and services and makes sales referrals, providing efficient and quality customer service, while meeting or exceeding minimum performance standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:· Promotes the Bank’s products and services and refers customers to the appropriate sales personnel.· Consistently meets or exceeds sales and service goals and minimum performance standards.· Receives, pays out monies, and processes daily transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing and payments, maintaining an accurate record of all transactions. · Answers customers’ routine to moderately complex banking questions and assists them in resolving problems; refers more complex inquiries to management.· Balances cash drawer and transactions to teller system without assistance and maintains an acceptable difference record. Assists more junior CSRs with balancing.· Consults with customers to identify financial needs and recommends appropriate products and services through profiling.· Defines the features and benefits of products/services, providing customers with information on rates, service charges, restrictions and other related information.· Telemarkets current and potential customers in an effort to provide service and cross-sell additional deposit products/services.· Originates and closes Home Equity Lines of Credit loans and ensures an efficient progression.· Handles the maintenance for existing accounts including checking, savings, certificates of deposit, money market, IRA, commercial accounts, and maintenance of safe deposit boxes.· Initiates, completes, and maintains customer profiles.· Follows up with customers as defined and outlined in the 90 customer follow-up guidelines.· Researches and answers customers’ banking questions; refers more complex inquiries to management.· Performs ATM balancing and maintenance functions and related duties including processing and reconciling ATM transactions through the teller system, assisting customers with ATM claims and ordering new/replacement cards.· May serve as the “In-Branch Trainer”, orienting, coaching, and assisting more junior level staff. · Observes and complies with security policies and procedures, customer service standards and compliance guidelines.· Assists with support work including logging in and processing of night drop under dual control, microfilming checks, preparing courier bags for transit and balancing the Point of Sale/VISA terminal. · Maintains customer service score at satisfactory level or higher as evidenced by service reports.· Performs various clerical duties including answering phone, filing and ordering checks. · Provides authorized customer access and exit to their safety deposit box, completes proper rental agreements and explains related Bank regulations. · May possess authority for overriding non-routine CSR transactions. Maintains and understands override limits and confidentiality.· Participates in training programs as required or recommended by management.· Performs other duties as assigned. Work smart @ warp speed. · Love what you do: Shows passion and a positive attitude in virtually all situations Education and training:· High school diploma or equivalent.· Notary Public designation preferred.· If internal, successful completion of the Bank’s internal CSR, Platform and IRA, HELOC (which includes first mortgage referrals) training/certification programs prior to appointment to PBR position.
