Operations Supervisor I- Standby/Commercial Letters of Credit

Oversee Letter of Credit (LC) Specialists that process standby or commercial letters of credit transactions in accordance with Bank policies and procedures, Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits and International Standby Practices. Responsible for reviewing letter of credit applications for completion and accuracy and for examining documents presented under letters of credit to ensure that they are in strict compliance with the above-mentioned policies, procedures and regulations.  Acts as a lead to LC Specialists by reviewing and approving standby or commercial LCs and payments.  This position is located in downtown Los Angeles, CA. *At least 5 years of experience in Commercial or Standby Letters of Credit. *At least 3 years supervisory experience.  Comprehensive knowledge of Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits. Comprehensive knowledge of International Standby or Commercial LC Practices.  Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with clients and all levels of Bank personnel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to be detail-oriented and accurate in a deadline-driven, multitask-oriented environment. Good PC skills (e.g. Microsoft Office). *Represents basic qualifications for the position.
