Mortgage Loan Officer - (Hampton Roads Area)

Description/Job Summary:

Responsible for originating potential residential mortgage loan opportunities, analyzing/preparing written loan presentations, coordinating closings of loan transactions, managing mortgage loan portfolio.

Duties:

* Administer, manage and grow the mortgage loan portfolio within Fulton's mortgage lending parameters.

* Develop and maintain an effective prospect call system for the purpose of generating new business and originating profitable loans for Fulton Mortgage Company.

* Portfolio management to include monitoring existing loans and disbursements and updating borrower information.

* Coordinate loan closings in conjunction with the loan administrator.

* Protects bank's image by keeping mortgage loan information confidential.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

* Work effectively as a team member to support Fulton's goals and objectives.

Skills/Qualifications:

Previous demonstrated experience in mortgage lending, preferably in the local region preferred. 

Candidate must be professional and needs to be able to verbally convey thoughts and information to general public, existing clients, and employees.  Must possess excellent listening/hearing skills to be able to communicate effectively with other people in a clear, concise manner.
