Commercial Loan Officer – Middle Market
Goals and Projects of the Bank:
· The bank is absolutely committed to growing the Houston office and establishing a heavy market presence
· Targeting to effectively double in size within the first one to two years
· Upcoming event: offshore conference for clients in May 2009
Details:
· The heavily established presence the bank has in international banking is what sets it apart from other competing banks
· Client target: mid to upper end of the middle market as well as the lower end of the investment grade (BB up to the BBB-)
· Preferred client target would be companies that have international needs (not international lending)
· The bank is very well known among most larger international companies (exceptionally strong in China)
· The bank has operations all over the world; the lender will get referrals world wide
· The bank is very creative in regards to the companies that they are willing to talk to
· The management style is very hands off; they give lenders all the tools they need to succeed and the freedom to do so; minimal supervision from above
· The company culture is very collegial; there is a sense of collective responsibility shared by each group within the bank to help the bank grow and prosper
Looking for:
· 10 to 15 years of experience
· Someone that has a balance of good credit skills along with strong charisma to be an excellent marketer
· Formal credit training
