We are seeking a Merchant Card Services Sales Officer for Fulton Bank Southern Division in Virginia.  Responsibilities/Duties1. Assumes responsibility for servicing and retaining existing Merchant Card Service Customers.
2. Assumes repsonsibility for business development activities of the Merchant Card Service Department.
3. Achieves annual sales goals for generating new fee income, loans and deposits for Merchant Card Services products.
4. Participate in weekly reporting of work-in-process and monthly sales meetings to report progress on annual sales goals.
5. Assist Affiliate Commercial Lenders, Branch Managers and Sales Officers in achieving their annual business development goals for commercial deposits, loans and fee income.
Skills-Strong ability to read and write in order to analyze and respond to Requests for Proposals.
-Ability to perform basic to more advanced mathematical calculations involving fee coparisons and profitability analyses.
-Ability to exercise problem-solving skills.
-Strong ability to operate effectively in a PC environment (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and create requisite reports and presentations.
-Strong ability to communicate bank products and services to corporate accounts.
- Strong ability to persuade clients as to various features and benefits of Merchant Card Services products.
-Ability to instruct and supervise employees.
ExperienceAt least 2 years of sales experience required. This position requires someone that is an aggressive salesperson with a proven track record in closing the deal.Education-High school diploma or equivalent.Details-Frequent short deadlines requiring additional hours in order to develop new accounts while servicing existing businesses. Must be able to prioritize daily in order to accomplish stated goals and objectives.
-Must be able to drive to meet prospective and current customers.
- Must be able to travel throughout Virginia on a daily basis.
