Market Analyst - Energy Industry

Nuenergen (www.nuenergen.com) is seeking an experienced Market Analyst for it's new White Plains, NY office. NuEnergen is an energy consulting company focused on renewable energy sources. We are a small, fast growing company that will be opening officess throughout the east coast.

 

Market Analysts areresponsible for the day to day collection of market data in order to asses market trends.  Expectations are that the Analystwill have an excellent working relationship with our Suppliers, our Clients, and industry experts. Ultimately, our Market Analysts are responsible for ensuring that our clients save money by employing our proven strategies.Responsibilities include; 

* Track trends in the Natural Gas, Coal and Electricity markets

* Analyze data to determine appropriate intervals to make hedge calls

* Develop reports for NuEnergen management and Clients

* Obtain pricing from 3rd party suppliers based on market calls* Obtain historical & current utility pricing

* Develop accurate and timely measurement of energy savings

* Quality control of online dashboard; analyze utility use and troubleshoot issues.

* Assist clients with forecasting their utility budgets for the coming year.

* Develop process work-flow sheets for each customer. Candidates must have the following skills/experience; 

* BS or BA required (preferably in Accounting, Energy Management, Mathematics, or Statistics)

* Effective influencing, communicating, and negotiating skills.

* Analytical and problem solving skills, with ability to provide sound and reliable judgment in business solutions.

* Primary orientation through process/systems, speed, cost, quality and customer value creation, results.

* Sound business acumen, including resource management, cash flows, conflict resolution, and contract management.

* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a win-win orientation.

* Strong organization and planning skills.

* Deep experience with MS Execl.
