We are currently looking for a Full-time Mail Opener.
Job Overview:
To open and sort customer remittances utilizing an automated mail extractor according to customer specifications and deadlines.es.
Duties include:
Performs daily preventative maintenance on the mail extractor. Opens, sorts, and balances customer remittances according to bank and customer procedures and deadlines. Meets/exceeds the standard set for opening on the Opex Model 50, which is 300-350 items per paid hour. Manually opens any exceptions meeting/exceeding the standard of 275 items per paid hour. Utilizing an adding machine, balances multiple transactions and attaches an add-tape to the batch of multies. Labels batch as multies with appropriate batch header. Reviews unprocessable returns for quality – identifies reason for returning to customer and wraps in Unprocessable Return Item Notification form. Prepares Employee Production Report as each job is processed, tallies up at end of shift and submits to Supervisor for review/approval. Monitors and/or ensures compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations; including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering, in addition to, Bank operation policies and procedures. Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Position requires excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, basic adding machine skills, and ability to meet processing standards.
