Line Cashier

Line Cashiers are expected to work all cage areas of the casino which consist of the following: Frontline, Dealer, Support, Clerk, Jackpot, and Check Cashing. Line Cashiers complete transactions with both internal and external customers which may require contact with currency, coin, tickets, chips, and monetary instruments. Line Cashier must follow all regulations handed down by the San Manuel Gaming Commission, Native Indian Gaming Commission, and Title 31 of the Bank Secrecy Act. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Verifies and redeems EZ Pay tickets Inventory card tables Conduct table fills/credits Issue/balance chip runner banks Verify/track Dealer tips using a secure key checked out at the MorseWatchman Exchanges slot tickets, currency, coin, monetary instruments, coupons, and prize agreements to bring bank imprests to required amounts. This list is not all inclusive, and is subject to change. Supplies Mainbank with required documentation to be forwarded to Accounting Issue/balance Slot Clerk banks Process Slot Jackpot wins Completes W-2G, 1042-S, W8-BEN, and W-9 for slot jackpots as required Withhold taxes when needed Processes credit card cash advances, personal checks, comdata checks, and travelers checks Processes and accepts payments for customer W-2G copy requests Processes TRU customer claims and issues payment when warranted Ensures compliance with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, State of California Gaming Compact, NIGC Regulations, and Tribal Internal Controls Completes federal cash reporting requirements as per Title 31 of the Bank Secrecy Act. Must attend Title 31 training classes Solely responsible and accountable for the assigned window imprest Ensures control/protection of Company assets Serves as a proactive team member in the Cage Operations department Maintain a professional manner to build customer confidence and trust Provides prompt, friendly service to both internal and external customers Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for business levelsMust work all areas of the cage Exchanges currency, chips, and coin for customers following specific handling procedures as written in the Tribal Internal Controls Monitors money for counterfeit currency, coins, fraudulent identification, credit cards, and monetary instruments Performs other duties as assigned that would be applicable to the position QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), minimum six months related experience and/or training with high volume cash handling. Casino and/or banking experience preferred.
