This includes collecting and analyzing information about the customer’s financial situation, financial and personal objectives, tolerance for risk and change, plans for the future, income, assets, debts, cash flow, and credit history. Advise customers about the consequences, risks, and benefits of alternative lending solutions. Make recommendations to customers about which lending solutions would best meet the customers’ financial and personal objectives. Promote Citi’s brand, and promote Citi as the provider for lending and other financial solutions. This includes promoting Citi and its financial services to real estate agencies, builders, other referral sources, and customers. Visit customers outside of Citi’s offices, with such visits to vary from LC to LC based on clientele, geography, market conditions, and other factors. The ability to analyze financial information for customers to make an initial assessment regarding whether the customer and the property may qualify for a particular lending solution. Other Responsibilies: Work as a team with other Financial Center personnel. Expert knowledge of Citi’s lending products and services and pricing alternatives. The ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing alternatives. Refer customers who seek financial services other than lending solutions to the appropriate Citi professionals. The ability to communicate with customers about the proper documents and information needed to obtain a particular loan. Partner with Operations teams to ensure the seamless transfer of the loan application in order to provide documents to the Processors and acquire any additional information needed by the Processors and/or Underwriters. Work with Processors/Closers and customers to ensure the timely closing of the customer’s loan. Knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern consumer lending, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA. Proficient knowledge of the consumer lending business, including first mortgages, home equity mortgages, secured and unsecured lending products, and personal lines and loans. Ability to create, analyze, and weigh alternative financial solutions. Ability to make sound decisions about which financial solutions best meet financial and other objectives. Ability to market and promote Citi and its lending products and services. Ability to recognize the financial needs of customers and to promote Citi’s financial products and services other than consumer lending products and services, including making an appropriate referal. Ability to represent Citi in its dealings with customers and others outside the institution. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and with other FC team members. Aptitude to learn mortgage products, processes, systems, and industry standards, and the ability to apply that learning to solve unique financial problems. Ability to work independently and without supervision. Must be able to work in a team environment with Operations partners and support staff. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Professional demeanor, strong integrity, ethics, and self-motivation. Local industry and competitive marketplace knowledge highly desired. Non-Prime loan experience helpful. 2 to 3 years of relevant business experience
