Job Description
Administer the Bank's various disability and leaves of absence programs, such as workers' compensation, short-term disability, long-term disability, pregnancy disability, family and medical leave, other family illness leave, bereavement leave, sick leave, and personal leaves of absenceIdentify and evaluate leave-related issues and work with the employee, Bank management, and the claims-handling vendor towards an acceptable solutionFacilitate communication between the employee and management on the status of the leave and the employee's return to workExplain the Bank’s leave programs and policies to employees, and answer questions regarding benefits, salary continuation, and medical plan premiumsInitiate and maintain organized case files. Enter leave cases into various leave management tracking systemsIdentify case-related issues and present specific courses of action for review by Leave Management Disability Benefits Administrator and/or Human Resources managementPrepare written correspondence and management-information reports regarding case histories, trends in disability leaves, and policy-related issuesProvide back up support to the Disability Administrator when called upon•Provide administrative support to department which includes assistance with timekeeping, invoicing, P-Card administration, office supply inventory management, filing, etc.Process building and equipment work ordersAssist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly metrics reportsManage the department’s records and files to ensure compliance with Bank record retention standardsComplete any other ad hoc projects or tasks as assigned

Essential Skills
At least 2 years of work related experience in human resourcesA High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required but BA/BS degree is highly desirableKnowledge and practical application of Federal/state laws regarding family, personal, and military leaveKnowledge and practical application of worker’s compensation regulationsCustomer service orientedStrong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively interact with individuals at all levels (employees, management, third party vendors)Effective time management and the ability to manage multiple assignment simultaneouslyProficiency with Windows operating environment and software products such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes, Kronos, and PeopleSoftIdentify problems, evaluate and present specific courses of action, and communicate results clearly to Human Resources management for implementation
