COCC is currently seeking a Jr AIX System Admin to administer Unix/AIX servers
Primary Responsibilities:
· Installations, configurations, maintenance and general system administration
· Troubleshoot and upgrade hardware, firmware, peripherals, operating systems and custom applications
· Capacity planning and performance monitoring of servers and applications
· Testing and implementing new hardware; testing, implementing and upgrading application software releases
· Administration of user account profiles and system backup / recovery processes
Position Qualifications:
· Three years experience performing UNIX / AIX Systems Administration in a production environment
· Demonstrated experience troubleshooting AIX and IBM series hardware
· Working knowledge of Linux, SAN and UNIX shell scripting
· Experience operating in a 24 / 7 corporate data center environment
· Excellent communication / documentation skills; strong attention to detail
· Experience with Tivoli Storage Manager a plus
