Investment Associate, Mill Street Division

Ballentine, Finn and Company, Inc., a nationally recognized personal financial planning and wealth management company, seeks a highly motivated individual to be an Investment Associate in our Mill Street Division located in our Waltham, MA office. As an Investment Associate, you will be part of a team that provides discretionary investment management services to high net worth clients and their families.



 The Investment Associate will assist the Senior Investment Advisor by helping manage a rapidly growing client base. Responsibilities include reviewing a client’s financial situation, developing Investment Policy Statements, preparing comprehensive financial planning or asset allocation and portfolio reviews, and supporting all aspects of portfolio management, including securities trading. He/she will oversee preparation of prospect and client meeting presentation books. This position requires frequent client interaction.



 The ideal candidate will have outstanding academic credentials including four years relevant experience. He/she will have a background in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics and/or a quantitative science and proven investment and financial planning skills. He/she will have demonstrated technical experience and strong computer skills including a proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Series 7 and 63 and a CFP is preferred.

 The ideal candidate will be intelligent with excellent conceptual and problem solving abilities. He/she must have strong math, computer and analytical skills and be able to easily integrate new and complicated concepts into a meaningful work product. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and energetic and will beagle to work with detailed information in a high-pressure, fast turnaround environment. Trading experience would be a plus.
