We currently have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, well qualified professional to originate first mortgage loans.

This position is a 100% commission based position.

Specifically, you will:Solicit and obtain first mortgage inquiries from existing customer base through bank referrals, targeted marketing and/or advertising efforts to external business sources Interview customers and educate them on loan programs Call on potential/existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business Analyze current rates and loan programs and provide accurate/timely information to customers Originate loans, interview applicants, complete quality loan applications, and follow-up with customers Negotiate terms and conditions of loans with applicants Serve as a liaison with borrowers/customers, other bank employees, outside entities (realtors, title and escrow officers, etc.) as well as other division staff, to facilitate a prompt, efficient closing of each loan Conduct presentations at branches, at real estate office sales meetings, homebuyers seminars, or any other venue to solicit first mortgage business Remain informed of changes in your assigned territory which might affect product sales Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations such as RESPA, HMDA and Fair Lending Practices Proactively communicate service and/or business issues to management to ensure timely and appropriate resolution Exercise absolute integrity and confidentiality in all dealings with customers and/or prospects Identify opportunities to refer customers and/or potential customers to other units of the Bank to provide services that meet their needs Manage personal and business unit sales plans, as well as the overall strategy of Mortgage Banking

This position requires:A BA/BS or equivalent experience 3-5 years of proven mortgage origination experience Demonstrated experience in first mortgage sales and customer service Basic knowledge of financial products/services Excellent negotiation, research, analytical, math, and written/verbal communication skills General knowledge of bank products and services PC proficiency.
