We also manage to keep a sense of humor along the way.  So if you’re ready for WaMu, read on!   The HR Analyst is responsible for supporting HR, Rewards and Benefits clients by requisitioning, analyzing, and summarizing HR data.  The HR Analyst’s analysis and recommendations will assist clients in making critical financial and operational decisions about plan and program designs and operations.  The HR Analyst works closely with clients to identify and translate business requests into analysis and recommendations.  The HR Analyst also partners with internal and external data providers to maintain repeatable requisition processes. The HR Analyst designs and delivers analyses and recommendations that will be used by HR teams to guide Senior Leader decision-making.   Demonstrated abilities to: • use PC programs (i.e. Word processing, spreadsheet, database) at an advanced level of proficiency • analyze and summarize data from a wide variety of sources • convey information effectively in written, oral and electronic communications • interact with all levels of management and staff across business unit lines in a participative consulting and counseling role • exercise independent judgment in assessing problems, determining appropriate response, and taking action within scope of authority. Previous experience performing benefits, HR, operational or financial analysis for a large company (30,000 employees or greater).  Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to develop solid recommendations with moderation direction.  Proficient synthesizing, combining, analyzing and reporting essential elements of information gathered from others.  Previous experience successfully tracking and reporting on vendor performance desired.  Experience in maintaining budget and financial models, including budget variance analysis and reporting, and experience with Six-Sigma or related process analysis methodology preferred.  Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field, and four years of progressively responsible related work experience.  Additional qualifying work experience may be substituted for the Degree requirement.   Washington Mutual is an equal opportunity employer.
