Government Relations Director

Job Requirements: 

 

Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, political science or equivalent with a minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience working with the U.S. Congress and/or a federal trade association.  Required skills include organizing, strategic planning, project management, excellent written and oral communications as well as interpersonal relation skills.  Travel is required for this position. 

 

Job Scope:

 

This position is responsible for assisting the Vice President of Corporate Relations with the management of state and federal legislative activities, political fundraising/reporting, public and member relations.  This high-profile position works to promote a positive corporate image and support the business objectives of the bank.  A successful candidate will possess exceptional written communication skills, the ability to speak with confidence among diverse audiences and the ability to manage an effective legislative campaign on behalf of the organization.
