For more information, visit State Street's web site at www.statestreet.com Firm Governance, Audit Director Firm Governance, Audit DirectorThe Firm Governance Director will be responsible for coordinating the Corporation's initiatives to centralize oversight of the Registered Public Accounting firms for State Street Corporation. The Firm Governance Director will be the key point of contact for Corporate Audit between the Registered Public Accounting Firms (the "Big 4") and other key Corporate partners (Legal, Corporate Finance, Strategic Sourcing, and Business Unit Management. Key responsibilities will include the following:* Establishment of an operating model that optimizes engagement distribution between registered public accounting firms and yields a "global service provider" concept;* Coordination of global Master Services Agreements (MSA's);* Coordination of Centralized Fee Oversight (Negotiation, Processing, Reporting);* Aggregation and streamlined reporting of all required communications (Management Letter Comments, etc)* Establishment of a centralized PCAOB / SEC / AICPA independence rule monitoring process that proactively works with registered public accounting firms and assesses the impact to contractual arrangements;* Coordination of State Street's position on the Investment Company Complex (ICC) with Legal and Finance;* Oversight, coordination, and execution of the Examining and Audit Committee Pre-Approval Policy;* Develop a process to review and confirm the appropriateness of pre-approvals (requests for firm services) (Approximately 300 pre-approvals annually);* Coordination of Registered Public Accounting Firm Surveys and other presentations as required by the Examining and Audit Committee to evaluate firm performance;* Oversee the implementation of an automated pre-approval process with key Corporate stakeholders to drive efficiencies;* Development and deployment of a global training program for all key stakeholders;QualificationsBS degree and CPA required; MBA a plus;Minimum of at least 10 year plus years of work experience including at least 5 years with a Big 4 public accounting firm. Strong management, mentoring and development skills.Ability to multitask and manage simultaneous projects.Excellent analytical and communication skills.
