Financial Services Consultant

Summary:

 

The Financial Services Consultant position requires a high-energy, out-going, sales motivated individual to build business by selling credit union products and services to members and non-members.  Will actively solicit new business from members and potential members at the branches through consultative selling, outbound calls and inbound responses to direct marketing promotions. 

 

Responsibilities:

 Originates consumer and real estate loans by interviewing applicants.  Explains loan options, rates and collateral requirements to members.  Gathers required information to base a decision as the loan expert or for presentation to underwriters if needed.  Capable of analyzing account information and loan applications to add-on additional credit union products and services to deepen member relationships.Handles outbound calls to select members to offer products and services to meet their needs and deepen their relationship with the Credit Union.Answers member phone requests and/or questions in response to direct marketing promotions.Explains rates, options and terms in response to marketing promotions.

Qualifications:

 High School Diploma or equivalentMust have lending experience within the credit union or banking industryMust love people and possess a high level of interpersonal skillsStrong communication skills. Needs to be confident in ability to sell and comfortable with incentive programs.

 

Offering hourly rate but highly commissioned.  Nice benefit package.
