Financial Analyst
Financial Analyst – Energy Assets
Our client is a 27 year old investment and merchant bank offering a variety of vendor finance solutions including financing for out-sourcing, privatization and project finance. They work in all infrastructure-related asset classes, but specialize in energy efficiency and renewable energy finance.
AdamsGrayson has been retained to identify for immediate hire, a self-motivated financial analyst to be the lead analytical resource for two specific finance programs focusing on efficient and renewal energy assets. The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver top notch analytical work modeling transactions, along with an ability to read and critique the related project documents for crucial credit, structure and legal issues. The position reports to the Vice President-Structuring & Analytics and will work with internal colleagues, outside clients, investors and legal counsel. Training and daily support will be available as required to develop the skills necessary to excel in this position.
Generally speaking, the position requires someone who has excellent Excel/modeling skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills. The position also requires attention to detail, thoughtful analysis, organization and creativity.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Financial/Business/Public Administration degree, with good communication/people skills.
· Experience with financial models and amortization schedules.
· Self starter, able to work independently and in a team.
· Experience and excellence working in Microsoft Excel. Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and other standard business tools.
Specific Duties:
· Create and modify financial models:
o Create amortization schedules for transactions.
o Adjust existing amortization schedules based on changes to existing transactions.
o Create pro forma models for projects, including renewable energy transactions, such as solar and wind projects.
· Read and critique the associated project documents
· Work with various internal teams to develop strategies to bid and win transactions.
· Communicate with clients on transaction concepts.
· Organize and manage the closing process for transactions, including communication with investors and legal counsel.
· Creative problem solving on transactions to increase value
