Location: Chicago, IL 60601Your location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend Job Responsibilities Â· Preparation of internal financial management reports for Senior Management · Preparation and coordination of all SEC related filings, MD&A, statutory reporting and earnings releases for the Investment arm of a fortune 500 firm· Participates in / lead special projects including business profitability and cost analysis, acquisitions and debt financing · Managing / Mentoring employee development and their related career growth is essential to this role· Responsible for improving processes and implementing appropriate control framework as it relates to the investment group· Responsible for drafting and maintaining accounting policies and procedures· Preparation of US GAAP & IFRS based financial statements for external constituents· Provide high level ad hoc financial reports · Coordinate financial analysis of all monthly financial reporting · Coordinate external audit of the financial statement· Demonstrate leadership skills, including strong decision-making abilities, impeccable integrity and the ability to present technical information in a clear & effective manner  Required Experience / Skill Set Â· Requires a BS in Accounting, Finance or other directly related education· CPA Required· MBA or CFA highly preferred Â· Successful record of development and career progression within single organizations, client specifically is looking for long-term career minded individuals· Ideally 10-15 years of financial experience with at least 5 years experience related to SEC filings, preferably within Financial services or insurance· Must have thorough knowledge of US GAAP and reporting as well as solid business acumen· Knowledge and experience with ERP / consolidating systems. Hyperion Enterprise / Cognos / People-soft / SAP Etc· Career starting off in Big 4 or large public accounting firms preferred  This position offers attractive earnings potential plus a significant target bonus.
