We currently have an opening for a Director, Information Security

The Director, Information Security is responsible for data security functions, which includes information security strategy, security architecture, development and function oversight of systems to deploy measures to safeguard those systems against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Develops, implements and manages the processes for information security strategy and associated architecture

2. Develops and implements policies, standards and guidelines related to information security

3. Oversees the continuous monitoring and protection of information processing resources

4. Identifies and resolves potential security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and recommends corrective actions

5. Ensures the secure operation of the organization’s computer systems, servers, and network connections

6. Evaluates changes to the processing environment for security impact and presents findings to management

7. Evaluates and recommends to management security features and products related to all information processing environments, firewalls, client/server, networks (LAN and WAN)

8. Works with the MIS department to manage internal security throughout the organization

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline

2. 8-10 years information systems processing experience

3. Ability to relate business requirements and risks to technology implementations to network security

4. Prior technical background including working knowledge of network management protocols, networking architecture, authentication practices and security administration

5. Technical proficiency in areas relating to computer hardware, computer operating systems and data communications/networking equipment

6. Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and handle multiple tasks successfully

7. Demonstrated ability to handle complex situations independently

8. Ability to develop effective working relationships with customers and coworkers

9. Ability to make contacts with other departments, requiring tact and judgment to ensure effective support

10. Displays a relentless focus on customer service

11. Holds self accountable for high personal and professional standards.

12. CISSP certification
